heh, OK. Sounds like there was a bit of compromise in making everything so slim. Thanks guys! I really appreciate the help. It should make things go much smoother (I know I would have been cursing that side button otherwise...)

I did the swap last night. That was seriously easy. Thanks guys for the tips on the side buttons. They didn't even budge (though the power button slipped a few times... never came out though). They keypad gave me zero problem at all and it stayed snug while I did the install. Thanks to that, I now have a keyboard that is on straight! Haha, looks like it was never in there correctly to begin with. This made me so much more happy with my e71. Sure, it scratched way too easy, but the replacement screen went on in less than 5 mins and was painless. Screen protector for me from now on.

Help guys!
When I got my E71 back from service (vibration stopped working after i dropped the phone), keyboard wasn't seated well - just like it got a stomach :) and beside that, i don't have that click-feel on my joystick press anymore (on down and left, up and right are ok), but they do work when a press them harder. Inspecting furthermore I found there's still a slilght 'stomach' on keyboard. It was straight when I originally bought it. Is there a chance that they did not seat the keyboard back well? I'm waiting for my ordered torx screwdriver to try fixing it. I just can't live with my keyboard not fitted straight. Any recommendations what should I look at when I get my phone disassembled? |

Case closed. Idiot from service did not fit the keyboard 'hooks' back in place (small openings on top cover). And to show how big idiot he is, let me tell you that he put both-side sticky small threads of scotch tape in the center of the keyboard to pull it down and stop being loose. So when i fitted it as it should be, removed the tape and closed the cover, the keyboard was like before i took it to the service.
