Depends how much you value the extra space that the N96 has, as well as the slightly bigger screen.

Although Id say video on the N96 would drain it much much faster than on the N85.
Best multimedia phone overall, do you think? That includes video, imaging, music, gaming.

Also, d'ya know when the service for TV for the N96 is due to come out? TV is a pretty cool feature, but I dunno if I'd ever use it.

And as for the formats, I suspect that the N85 should support everything the N96 does. Nokia sometimes does that, kind of 'shortlists' the specs. Often some phones that can do the same thing have seemingly different software specs.

I couldnt say for sure though - but it would be odd them both being N series devices with S60 V3 FP2 and being different.
Right OK, thanks for that.

Check my post before, I edited it but you posted before I was finished.

As for the TV - dont worry about it, its pointless for the UK. We are not getting for years yet, its unlikely that you wont have upgraded to another phone before it comes out.

Best overall mulitmedia phone - Id say so, even if its just because its going to have such a long batterylife for a phone with those specs.

The large screen and it being OLED - better colours, true black - make it so IMO.

Yeah it's correct - see for yourself.

But according to Bartmanekul, Nokia sometimes is brief with specs.

They are talking out of their rear end then! Honestly, its not coming soon. I forget which year, but its not before 2010.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6902541.stm - where it says the frequencies needed in the UK are not likely to be free until 2012. Im sure theres other news on it too.

I cannot possibly see Nokia doing away with the browser.
