Do they make huge differences?

Hey guys.

Some of you may know from my previous thread that I'm interested in the N96, and some of you from my posts that I'm also interested in the N85. But I'm here with some questions (again!).

Now my question is would the formats supported shown in the screenshot make any differences between the phones? Would it make one better over the other or does it really not matter much?

Thanks in advance.

What exactly are you looking in a phone? What would be your main usage other than making calls.? Music, email, web browsing etc.

Personally, probably music, video, internet browsing, and possible gaming once in a while. Music and video the most out of those 4 probably.

You mean YouTube? Um, maybe. But the thing is if I'd get one of those phones it'd be on PAYG, and that'd take chunks out of my credit. But I'd still use internet; it's always nice to have it in your pocket.

Ok , I would go for the N85 wich they say have one real nice screen.
I belive it's the first device who use the OLED screen.
This is only my opinion

Yeah, the 5800 definatly sounds more your thing (as long as you like touchscreens).

Its said to be the loudest out there, and presumbly they have been working on the quality of sound, so expect it to sound better than the vast majority of music phones out there.

Its going to be reasonably cheap too.

Note: it plays music on that page, made me jump like hell.

Thanks, but nah. It's either the N85 or N96 hopefully, and the prices are too high to make the mistake of choosing the worse one to suit my needs.

Id say N85 then. Mainly because of the battery lasting a lot longer - its got more capacity plus it should consume a lot less due to the OLED screen.

Depends how much you value the extra space that the N96 has, as well as the slightly bigger screen.

Although Id say video on the N96 would drain it much much faster than on the N85.

And as for the formats, I suspect that the N85 should support everything the N96 does. Nokia sometimes does that, kind of 'shortlists' the specs. Often some phones that can do the same thing have seemingly different software specs.

I couldnt say for sure though - but it would be odd them both being N series devices with S60 V3 FP2 and being different.
