First post - Should the slider be marking the plastics after 1 week?

Just took the plunge and bought my first Nokia since the N70.

Anyway loving the phone but have noticed the black plastic to the right of the keypad is developing a groove mark in the plastic from the slider? Is this normal? only had the phone a week. Also noticed a line scratch on the back part that's only visable then the keypads pulled out which would also look like slider wear.

Maybe I'm just being a tart, but just expected it to look like new for a bit longer than a week lol.

No it shouldn't be making a groove. I've had mine for about a fortnight now and not experienced the same. Is your slider tight on the right hand side then? As a problem with them at the moment is slight loose slider on the right!

Check the 'groove' though because mine does leave a thin 'mark' but all it is is grime, easily wiped away.

I have actual wear and a faint white patch where it's going through the black to the white underneath. I'll keep an eye on it and if need be take it back for a swap as I can do that in the first 28 days (Phones 4 U)

yeah don't even wait just take it back and hopefully your next unit will not have this issue, i have had mine for few weeks now and no such problem, so i reckon it's not normal tear and wear
