Should the keyboard work automatically once you pair them? I've got a DiNovo Mini and when I pair them I can't type with it. :/

You also have to download a keyboard program to the phone and start it.

i think i used to use vito audio notes, although that might have been when i was on winmo. since, ive used that buggy mp3 recording program by Alon, called dictaphone. its terrible, but it does the job. ive recently defaulted to using the built in voice recorder, since even though its wav files, its pretty compressed and im only recording voice, anyway, so it suffices.

DED is a phenomenal text editor, found here: DEdit he also has released a number of other excellent apps. and all free, too!

as for how to do both at once, that is perhaps the single best thing about an s60 smartphone. true multi-tasking! i've mapped the multimedia button, which is stupid and useless, to the task switcher in the taskman program, made by smartphoneware, i think, and its even better than alt-tab in windows.

the typing i do with a bluetooth keyboard. i bought a 20 dollar one off of ebay and used nokia's wireless keyboard app to allow the phone and the keyboard to communicate. its truly awesome, i can completely control the phone from the keyboard and its really in some ways better than bringing my laptop.

hope this helps!
