The 'What I did with my N85 today' Thread!

Took a train journey to London and watched Star Wars Episode I on my N85 (half the film there, half on the return journey)

The picture doesn't really do the OLED display justice (I took the pic with my N95 btw). But the quality of movies on the N85 is amazing. FYI the video was an XVID encoded AVI played through the DivX Mobile application ;)

I turned a few heads on the train and on the tube while watching

Well.. Saturday I google-mapped on the train, always fun to watch where you are going in satellite-map view!

Must have been doing that for an hour, and no noticeable hit on the battery!

Mine dropped about two bars at the end of the day. That's a marked improvement over the N95! Considering I watched over two hours of video, used the 3G connection for about an hour in total, sent some texts and made a phone call, and still had battery left!

I must be honest, I don't do much with mine these days.

I am not really a big film watcher. Although I did watch Top Gear on the iPlayer on my lunch time at work.

I don't watch much on it daily. But knew I was working in London this week and would be getting train so loaded it up with music and movies and TV :D

Erm, iPlayer, on the N85!? Last time I checked it didn't work :( Got an install file please?

Sure. The OLD iPlayer is the only one to work on the N85. The new versions doesn't.

It'll ask you to update each time you use it. Works as lon as you say no.

oh well. the iplayer is only for uk people. i used mine to listen to a lecture, whilst typing notes on the lecture using a bluetooth keyboard and DED, then recording another lecture while taking notes on that one too, used it for the online radio while exercising, took pictures of my kid, uploaded them to picasa with shozu, read a few chapters of a book with qreader, checked my email, responded to a few of them, got directions with google maps somewhere and played with the slide WAY too much. oh, and i made a few phone calls.
