Annoying Fault and a Query....

The Fault:
OK, I noticed this the first time a few weeks ago and forgot about it, but it has happened 3 times in as many days now and is becoming worrying....
When I am typing out a text message, it randomly freezes, the cursor still flashes but none of the buttons respond and the only way to "fix" it is to remove the battery...has anyone else noticed this?

The Query:
After suffering from the "video freezing" too, I eventually managed to find the time to copy all the memory card contents to the PC, format the MC and then copy all the contents back, but....
All my pictures are now in the "All" folder of the gallery and they no longer appear under their tags or the "months" they were taken folder. This isn't a massive issue, certainly not as annoying as the one above, but I was wondering if anyone knew how to reallocate these or a way of refreshing the gallery to make it read the picture exif data?

Hopefully someone will be able to offer some kind of advice, it would be greatly appreciated!!
