Nokia Wall Charger Keeps Bringing Up The Enhancement Menu Instead of Charging

My girlfriend's N85 from Orange has started to have the following problem and I'm wandering if anyone can help or is also experiencing these issues.

When she connects her phone to the mains plug in the house via the in-box ac adapter that charges through the microUSB instead of charging as it should it brings up the enhancements menu, as if she'd plugged in a pair of headphones and it was asking to confirm what type of enhancement was attached.

If she turns the phone off and connects it to the mains power again, it doesn't show up as charging either.

I would appreciate any help I can get. She's only had it less than a month.

Also, is anyone else's back case above the camera squishing in, right at the top around the 3.5mm jack? It goes in a long way.

I have experienced the charging problem intermittently as well. I noticed that the USB cable that Nokia provided could be easily inserted into the phone, whereas the USB tip of the mains charger felt like I was forcing something into the interconnect. When I was gentle with the USB on the mains cable, it would often ask which USB mode I would like to choose (Nokia Mode, Storage, etc). However, when line up the interconnects correctly and connect them with force, it just snaps into place like the PC USB cable, and the phone seems to recognize the charger more reliably.

Basically, I just unplug the micro-usb and plug it in again harder. I didn't touch the end plugged into the mains, only unplugged and replugged the USB end.

I haven't had the phone ask me about headphones enhancements though...
