N8 firmware already available for download!

I see that "Firmware Update Nokia N8-00 RM-596 euro 011.012 v1.00" which is of course the N8, is already available for download from here.

This is a 'pay site' unfortunately, which I have already used to download the first Service Manuals etc for the N8 without any problems. My guess is that this is actually the release version of the firmware anyway, rather than an early 'big fix' or anything like that, and that it will almost certainly be available directly from Nokia, either now, or very soon, I would have thought.

I thought it worth posting on here anyway though!

yep we have all region variants of 011.012_v1.00 available to us at service centres already

About the firmware , my had the 011.012.00.01 already from the box
with Webbversion 7.2 Flashversion 4.0 and Java version 2.1

As I said in my first post, I thought that would probably be the case.

It might be useful for those folks who were given N8's with pre-production firmware though!

What interested me is that the coloured parts can only be changed at high level repair
