N82 Camera: Not up to expectations?

Hey,

So I had an N82 Black for quite a while on Orange, and I quickly debranded it after purchase. The camera was great, best one I'd ever seen every single shot I took impressed me.

Now I was upgraded to a C905 8mp, also with the same quality flash as the N82, and so sold my N82. Although the camera was brilliant I didn't really like the phone otherwise so after about a month i've sold the C905 and bought a 2nd hand N82 silver.

This time around though, the camera is not impressing me at all. I mean its okay, but the shots are just a bit.. meh.
Is it just me or are they not all that brilliant? Or is it just because the C905 was actually a fair bit better? Here are some sample shots I've taken with it, using the latest firmware.

What firmware was your original N82 running, and what firmware is your silver N82 currently running?

Dont forget i assume your original black n82 was a new one you have just bought a second hand silver one if you dont know its history it could have been dropped a few times etc and even had cosmetic damage hidden by a new houseing/case etc just a thought.

Current firmware is V 30.0.019 (RM-313).
I don't know what firmware my old N82 was using, I just can't remember.

Its deffinatley not had new housing. It is quite scratched, but why would that effect camera quality? Its going in to the nokia service centre soon to have the full housing replaced with a new black one to fix its cosmetics.

Do you agree that the photos I posted above are not particularily good for this phone?

In my opinion those photos look about right. The N82 gets better pictures if you adjust the ISO settings and contrast etc. before you take the shot.
