I sent a few back because of creaking and the gap by the usb port, after my 5th one i couldn't be bothered with sending them back anymore.
The one i have now creaked a bit but after time it went.

I didn't have that creaking thing when I got my n82 but it happened after I had my lower speaker replaced, the effect of having the phone opened up. But it went away after a week or so, maybe just fitted itself in the right place after a week's use.

Hey,
I too had the same creaking problem with my Black N82. But it was not as profound as yours & it disappeared on its own after 3 weeks of usage. Surprisingly, I have noticed that the Silver N82s don't have this problem (My cousin & a friend have the Silver ones & they don't creak a bit but another friend's Black & my own were creaking when new; but it eventually disappeared...... Took around 3 weeks for me & around a month for my friend's Black one!!!) Wish you all the best!!! Believe me, apart from this Creaking issue, the N82 is the best phone I have had till date...... (And I have even had the N95 8GB for that matter.....!!!) ;-)

I have an silver one and it is nothing like that. I have dropped it quite a few times and the keyboard even popped out once, but it has never creaked.
