please help: camera of my n82 shuts on and off by itself

Hi!

I have problem with the camera. First, the red focus light was on a for hours every day. Then the xenon did flash at midnight while my n82 was completely off...

And now: the camera is constantly turning on and off by itself, maybe 20 times per minute. The back is closed, so the screen does not show anything. The n82 is on the table and shuts on and off all the time...

What can I do?

Where are you located, and what firmware is your N82 running?

Have you got the device wet recently?

Have you changed the outer casings of the device at all?

I live in Austria. The firmware is 31.0.0.16, it was not wet recently (but maybe some months ago), and the casings are not changed. But sometimes I have to press the lower front part of the casing back in it's position.

The other problem I have is that sometimes when I backup the 8GB card with the PC the filesystem is corrupted. I know how to fix a corrupted filesystem, but how can I make sure that the N82 uses the filesystem correctly?

yes - I did hard reset, it didn't help...

I have the same problem..


You got steam/water in your phone that had been (infected) in/on the motherboard,

I have dissambled the N82 and blowed with a dryer(didn't helpt)

I've also put the N82 in a cup of rice(yes rice, the one that chinese people eat (not basmatirice, just rice :)))

I've also been to the Nokia Care Point they didn't even started a diagnostic and they said that this is a waterdamage and no warranty for this(:@) BAD SERVICE NOKIA, VERY BAD...grr

WOW, sounds like your phone is possessed. Where'd you buy the phone from? Do you use a leather case with a strong magnet latch on it? Was your phone dropped?
