At the moment it's well in the shadow of the N97 for popularity.

Time will tell, S60v3 and N Series seem to cover any N86 as it stands anyway.

i think the N86 is more in the shadow of the N97 with reagrds to interest. for the "average" consumer, the N86 is a solid phone without lots of nice but seldom used bells and whistles.

After reading reviews of it, it sounds like it's the best built Nseries handset EVER.

I am already sold, just want the price to drop or a good deal to come along. Also the slider needs to be GOOD!

I've heard the slider is well....read for your self......qouted from WhatMobile forum

'First Nokia slider i've used (8800 aside), with totally no wobble at all on the slide, closed or open. Even when the dual slide is open it clicks into place. Slide is quite heavy and opens pretty easily.'

yeah i love the designe even down to the buttons on the keypad , they look raised and look like they would be a pleasure to use

ive heard the slider is good as well , my n96 is very good and if its better then that itll be perfect

the feature list is pretty good as well , probably more suited to my needs then the n97 and at a lower cost as well rrp is 399

ive grown to like touch more then i did but i still prefer i high spec buttoned device

the 8mp would be used more then the keyboard but i would miss the massive memory of the n97 which is drawing me towards it

id also miss the massive screens that come with touch devices they are so handy for media and gps , garmin has never been so good as it has on the 5800

but yeah the n86 is a very appealing device i hope they advertise it enough and it isnt forgotten under the n97 cloud of hype thats being produced at the minute

aka the n96 and the n85 , the n85 is still unheard of by some people but was a killer little n series (buil quality depending) i hope the same dosent happend to the n86

saying that with the 8mp on board and it being nokias 1st attempt at it surely it should recieve some hype and marketting when its release date is finally announced
