N86's Camera shutter, does it scratch the lens cover like the N97's does ?
Well guys just want to ask if any of you have the ir camera covers dirty? Is it prone to scratching the lens like what some n97 owners are experiencing right now?

Not from me, mine is still in excellent nick. Durable and some watch generally scratch resistant, although I am still in the "taking care" stage of ownership.

N85's Camera shutter, does it scratch the lens cover like the N97's does ?
Well the heading has everything in it.. lol..
My N85's shuter DOES scratch it in two specific places, on either sides of the shutter.. Its a long and quite deep scratch.. :( Hopefully its not in the camera's way..

Not all N97 camera shutters scratch the lens, I've been using my N97 for over two weeks now and I don't keep the lens cover opened.
I think the scratching thing happens to some devices only (just like the battery cover creaking)

I know not all do scratch but some have.. I just wanted to know if its also a popular case with the N85..

Yeah my N85 has little grooves where the shutter closes... on both the lense bit (can see with shutter open) and on the case bit (seen with shutter closed) But none of the scratches affect the operation of the phone.. and certainly DO NOT impair on the camera qualty (Thank God) AND My shutter notch thing is starting to scrach quite bad.. All under the C and A of Carl Zeiss is not shiny cause I keep puttin it down... Might replace the whole back cover... Then again.. Might not. Im a skint student lol

Mine's still perfect, and I use it day to day, no kid gloves ;-)
It looks like they may have addressed the problem, because there is actually a "groove" in the slider over the lens part. That is, the part of the slider that goes over the lens is no longer in direct contact with the lens itself.

Yea luckily it doesnt scratch where the camera is unlike with the N97 !

I have no scratches on my N85!
