The N900 is wickedly fast in operation. There shouldn't be *any* fears about this.

Just wait until you get your hands on one. It's nice. REAL nice.

But yes, there is still one step in the Maemo plan- this still isn't the mass market device, it's a massive step in the right direction though.

Agree with Pseudofin, the N900 is very quick, and does not in anyway slow down during multitasking, and alike. I have a preview unit coming this week, and will be starting a new thread within the forums, asking everyone what various things they wish to be tested on it. I must stress though, that the preview N900 unit I have coming is not running final firmware, ie, not the firmware it will be shipped with, but i hear a new firmware update for it shouldn't be too long till its ready.
