    Well....this is goodbye

I have loved my Nokia N900, and it has served me well for over 1 year now.....but the time has come to move on....

I have waited long enough for the Nokia N9....so now it's goodbye Nokia too....

I am now tossing up between either the Samsung Galaxy S I9000, or the HTC Desire HD

I wish you all the best.

    Peace out!

It's always good to move on , even if I dont think it wont take far to long before the N9 hits the streets .

What ever you choose Samsung or HTC I hope it's not goodbye to the forum !

    Cheers

I will still pop in to the forum from time to time....but when the N9 comes out, should it have the bet available specs (at that time), then I will be back with a vengence as I do love Maemo and have high hopes for MeeGo...

Thing is, Nokia have a history of annoucing a new product, but then not making it available for purchase for another 6 months....and given the N9 has not even been officially announced yet, I cant wait that long.

It would be nice to see Nokia release a device with the latest and best hardware available at that time, and release it to the public while that hardware is still relevant or before other companys release before them

I understand where you are coming from my friend, but as said, don't be a stranger, we are all friends still here, so no need to disappear completely. It would be good to hear from your experiences with your new chosen device/platform mate.

To find your Nokia Firmware version, key *#0000#. The V##.#.### shown is your current Firmware! Please add these details with Nokia model to your profile. This information will help others help you. Thank you.!

Was not this one of the changes the new CO mr Elop would do , when they annoucing a new product it will hit the market at once ?

    Wink

I jumped to Samsung Galaxy S a few months ago & still pop in here from time to time. It's still a great forum even though I don't own a Nokia right now.
I'dd recommend the SGS but it does have it's flaws - battery life & lag mainly and I'm not impressed by the camera - but the HTC Desire HD's a cracking phone too.

I missed that annoucement, but I hope it's true....
That said, both the N8 and the E7 have taken ages to release to market since they were announced....so I am not convinced yet....maybe because they were announced under the old CO/leadership?
