N96 finally released

Well as the title says. The N96 is Finally released in India. Just 2 days before the release date of the Iphone. Nokia will release it in India for the time being, and the rest of the world a bit later.

Nokia seems to keep waiting before a huge release of a product and try to spoil it for them by either releasing one of Nokias best, or announcing a NEW product to try and keep their customers on Nokias HOOK.

Where did you get this information from.? Nokia India - N96 ? Mobile entertainment device with video, audio and live TV functions says different.

Nokia is all set to steal Apple's iPhone thunder. In a first global launch in India, the world's largest cell phone maker, Nokia has unveiled its 'killer product' N96.

Touted to be an iPhone killer, the high-end Nokia N96 has been launched two days before the official launch of Apple iPhone (August 22).

Nokia N96 is the successor of Nokia N95. The phone which was tipped to see its global launch in October will be available in the market from the first week of September.

It still says coming soon for the E66 and E71.

That's true I guess, but with the recent re-vamping, I thought it may of been up-to-date.

I don't think that the Nokia website will announce it UNTIL it is released world wide.

Who knows what people from India are going to sell them for to the rest of the world, until its worldwide release. I remeber this happened with the original N95 as well, when it was being sold at $1200

EDIT: btw, I got my N95 from singapore for $2000 when it was only released
probably not the best deal, but it works fine :)

Same here, got my 6110 from...somewhere (prpbably china) before it was released in the UK.

However, theres no way I would do it with the N96. Given how much the N95 was cloned, and how good they got at it, your likely to see perfectly cloned N96s from day one.

Box, IMEI number, all sorts that will mean theres no way to tell until you recieve it.

There are already two N96 clones that Im aware of now. One with dual sim, and the other, which is identical, and single sim. Waiting on photos of the single sim at the moment, but was told by a fellow blogger than he has got his hands on one.
