can someone with an n96 help please

few things about the new n96

been playing with a mates n96 , dosent seem to bad a phone infact it seems quite good , i love the memory and could see myself getting one as id have 32gb in my pocket in a symbian nokia :-) , he debranded it as it was on voda and was branded badly ,

anyways cant seem to send say 30 sms in one go it instantly turns the message into a mms instead of an sms , is this new feature pack on there or is it a bug?? looked through settings cant change anythuing that would sort this its around 30 contacts maybe slightly more as soon as you add more then say 30 it instantly turens the sms into a mms

also is there a way to hack the n96 yet , ive checked around and cant find any methods that work for him ie carbide and secman

hes mainly intrested in the sms thing as its quite annoying when it turns an sms into a mms just because you have added say 35 contacts

I've never played with an N96 but the only thing I can think of is that when you add that many contacts the header portion of the message becomes too large and therefor causing it to switch to a MMS becuase MMS supports larger messages.

Sounds like a good shout.
May be worth posting on Nokia Forums as it could be a bug they don't know about.

I've got an N96 but haven't had to send that many texts yet, also debranded from Voda.

Has anyone tried to do this on a different phone? I've tried to send a SMS to a ton of people before but I don't think I've ever hit 30.

yep on the n95 i can send over 100 3 page txts and it dosent change the sms to a mms

iam wandering if it feature pack 2 or a bug hummmmm

the 3 page sms is a joke that i forward to my friends as i have unlimited sms

yeah I'm wondering if it's a bug, a setting in there somewhere, or an operator setting on their end.

when i send the multi sms on the n95-1 thats using o2 sim card i might have to try my o2 sim card in his phone see if its the same as that would eliminate the operator limit from vodafone

ive been through settings and cant find any thing in there at all hummm
