New n96. Oh!
Got the phone today. Have signed up for unlimited internet, but, cannot get a 3g service so you tube link is hopeless. Thought i was supposed to get iplayer but don,t know where to look.
The find and go thing works ok,camera seems a bit blurry but pics that i,ve loaded on from my n95 look good-might just be the nice new shiney screen! Music sounds very tinny can,t imagine i would stand listening to that for long. Am hoping to be able to access my home emails from the phone, not sure if that is possible though? Had Global Racer on the n95, having no luck getting that on the 96. Any other good driving games? Is there an auto rotate app available. Bit disillusioned so far but i got the phone free and have more mins/texts for less wonga so not too fed up!!! All tips/tricks/advice very gratefully accepted! Thanks Ian |

You've only had the phone 5 minutes, be patient. Saying you're disillusioned is pretty extreme.
Search Google about the iPlayer, that's what I did, now mine works well. The quality is 3gp. It would be nice to see the BBC use MP4 instead as the phone resolution can go so much higher. No 3G? That's more than likely a signal and network issue, not the phone. I get HSDPA all the time pretty much, but I'm just outside of London. Mine was straight from Voda, and even debranded it kept these functions. You can turn Auto-Rotate on from the settings menu, I prefer just sliding the phone like the N95, otherwise it rotates when I'm using it laying down. I did notice the screen looking a little blurry around the edges, however I just cleaned the lense cover and this seemed to work. For the Muisc player - try resetting the EQ to the style, I have rock, and use 3D tones as well. After playing around mine sounds decent. I detest music played through mobile phones instead of headphones, especially in public - but that's because I'm a grumpy sod ![]() Hope this is of some help mate. Play around with it, it's actually a fair bit different to an N95, even with a similar OS. |

Also you could have a 2G sim. O2 for example have to send you a new sim that works with the 3G network.
My girlfriend had it when she got the Nokia 6220 Classic, couldn't get a 3G signal, until she rang O2 and they then sent her a new sim. |

hello N96 - Don?t forget to wipe your camera before use. Being...
you need to clean the lens plastic each time you take a photo - as otherwise it creates that vaseline effect. which is quite annoying... see here |

Had a 3g signal today! So watched Hendrix on you tube at dinner time!! What is Hsdpa?
Man at Voda told me to go to networks and select 3g there (i think he called it something else, not hsdpa or 3g) i only have dual mode and gsm as options. Any links for getting iplayer would be much appreciated. Ian |

Ok so do i go to www.bbc.co.uk/mobile. Of course i have very limited access as seemingly there is no 3g in my house.
Just looking at reviews on youtube and seems "some" n96,s do have a shortcut to iplayer, all but voda i bet? Ian |

It shouldn't be a problem to download it from the BBC website though.
