Silly question ???

Hi,

New to the forum, recently upgraded to the N96 as I have been wanting it since I first saw it advertised months ago on Nokia's website ... 2 months before my N95 contract was up lol .... anyway ... it sounds like a really silly question and I've looked before posting ... does anyone know if there's any way of getting the time on the display when the light goes off like the N95 could ?? I find it a bit frustrating that I can't see if I have a message without pressing a button to get the screen to light up.

Thanks :) P.S loving the N96!!

You should look up cClock. It's freeware that lets you costumize your standby screen. Good thing is, you don't even need to light up your phone to see it. (depending on your settings ofcourse)

Its not a silly question, however, im surprised this is your first post seeing as you previously owned an N95. Anyhow, here is an N96 with cClock installed..

You can get cClock from HERE

Just for a difference, here's the N85 with the clock / time etc on the standby screen.

Installed CClock which looks nice on the N96 but I found that it had a drastic effect on the battery, even with the power saver feature enabled, so I have uninstalled it. I may have another go with it at some time, maybe I did not spend enough time setting it up.
