Nokia Bluetooth headphones cutting out ??

Hi.

I have just got myself a pair of Nokia BL-504 bluetooth headphones, I have paired it up with my N96 but the music keeps on cutting out every few seconds, which is very annoying !!!!

I have reset the headphones and re-paired it to my phone, but still the same.

Has anyone got any ideas??

Thanks

Paul Rogers

I had a pair of Nokia BH 501 and a cheap pair of i-tech BT headphones and they both kept cutting out whether on my N95, 8gig, N96 or 5800 that I've used them on. Usually worsened when something (anything!) came between the side with the BT receiver and the phone.

I use a sony bluetooth home stereo and a sony bluetooth car stereo with the n96 and both work really well is your battery cover on properley? If i remove that when paired it causes the connection to drop but otherwise its fine

Today I received a new pair of BH-504 bluetooth headphones, but still the same, so that means it's my N96 phone, and to prove it I connected the headphones to my laptop without any problems.

The phone is rubbish!!!! Nokia has to sort this out soon, I hope the new firmware is released soon and after that if the sound isn't sorted then i'm off to a different phone.

I've also read on the web the N95 phones don't have this problem, why did I sell my N95 8GB !!!???

If anyone has the same issues please let me know.

Cheers

Paul

seems weird to me as mine works ok

but ive had bluetooth problems with my old n73 when v4 1st came out for that it would pair but not operate properley with some bluetooth equipment

i use the bluetooth on the n96 for at least 2 hours a day , 1 in the morning before work and at least 1 hour after work and have allways been happy with the connection

maybe contact nokia about it via email mate so they know about it

This morning I decided to sort this out so I contacted my local nokia service center regarding my bluetooth problems, they said that i'd have to post the phone to nokia for repair.

So I packaged it up and walked it down to my local post office.

Then this afternoon I received an email from nokia replying to my problems which I sent them a couple of days ago, it said that the type of nokia bluetooth headphones i am using is NOT COMPATIBLE with the n96 and then gave me 2 links -

The phones the headphones are compatible with -

Nokia Europe - Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-504 - Compatibility

The Headphones compatible with N96 -

http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products...ts-accessories

So I ran down to the post office to try to get the phone back, but it had already gone .......

So do I replace the phone or the headphones...after a think i've decided to go back to my N95 8GB because everything works as it should andthe phone is compatible with the headphones.(they are great headphones)

So as soon as it comes back from repair it's going on ebay, and tonight i've just brought another N95 8GB.

I can't believe nokia's new line of bluetooth headphones are not compatible with nokia's flagship phone!!! unbelieveable !!

I hope nokia does a better job with the nokia N97, and next time I buy any nokia bluetooth headphones i'll check compatibility !!!

Cheers
