right here goes.........
just having a wander round the new fw and all looks really good
only thing is that (and i hope i'm not alone here) of all the nokias i have had i dont think i can say that i have been able to update my fw on the first attempt. all you got to do is plug the phone into pc or laptop run nsu it downloads and updates? all pretty easy but it never really happens that way does it? or is it just me?
also a quickie before i start a search in here, is there a tutorial for hacking the N96 so i can install unsigned software?
many thanx again and keep up the good work folks

I updated OTA, everything OK, runs smoothly and seems very nice!

According to Nokia Energy Profiler battery life has been improved significantly (about 30% but I don't know how accurate my testing was...)

edit /// nevermind the energy profiler comment, I found out I don't really even know how to use that app/how to interpret the results... Maybe someone smarter than me can test the new firmware vs the old version... /// edit

E-mail works nicely too!

But I can only see two calendar events now in active standby... That sorta sucks! Well I guess nothing can ever be 100% positive... :D

for me, it's always been easy to update... No problems ever. But I feel that updating OTA is much much easier than with NSU. Smaller download size and less worrying and no fiddling with cables and such...

BTW, typing this using Nokias web browser. I have always used opera mini but the new firmware has done something good for the built-in web browser. It's actually usable now! Yay!
