UserT:
you should be able to change to any plan you like provided that it is the same cost or higher as the plan that you got the contract withl If later you don't like the plan you changed to, you can change it again but the same provision applies as the first time. Sil. |

OK...got my N97 from mobilephonesdirect on T-Mo (after a quote of £101 to upgrade to a N97 from customer services!), and it's on a Carphone Warehouse product code.......are any of you guys still on the original firmware (V 10)? I cant update FOTA or through NSU as yet.

they are the only pc to be on v10 still i think youll be lucky if they update it at all the n96 on carphone warehouse is still on v10 or v11 mate and it is up to v30 now id be thinking of changing the pc as v10 is terrible, it may void your warranty but gaz or tom from here could fix it still under warranty i think :-) |

Ive debranded, to 0570817, and am updating to FW 12.0.024 right now :)
My local NSC is fairly laissez-faire regarding debranding........they did some stuff on my N95 which I had debranded also. Last edited by carlsilvers; 09-15-2009 at 12:34 PM. |

yep, all done with no drama.....it was much easier to do this time round than with my N95 a couple of years ago, as I dont think NSS supported Vista, back then?
I used this guide: How To Change The Product Code On A N97 & Nokia 5800 | The Symbian Blog Really liking the data protector, too...so much easier than backing it all up and then reinstalling.....everything thatI'd installed survived, and all the settings were kept, too, so my mobbler still logs straight in, MfE is still running, as is Nokia Messaging etc. Just need to do a hard reset now, remove the widgits from C: to E: and I'll be happy :) |
