thanks spook ive been trying it mate

dosent seem to work

think they had a different problem , it reads like they could get to the stanby screen , my mates wont even say nokia , just as its about to bang , up comes the crash , ive seen it before when my apps have crashed ,

its the type where the screen fades away then goes black ,

if there was a hrad reset that may work but i cant find a way of doing it

the 5800 method dosent seem to work

thanks though spook mate much appreciated

:-)

Updated this AM (Unlocked US on ATT) and it worked fine. Accuweather updates easily, the lock button works now and the backlighting is perfect. Haven't checked to see if my bluetooth connection stays stable on my phone yet (disconnects many times while connected to cars) but it went fine.

I debranded mine using the JAF key the day I got it and put generic v10 on it using NSU. The only issue I had was getting JAF to read the product code, unplugging the USB lead from the phone and re plugging it just before pressing read on the PC sorted that.

V11 is not yet available for the UK generic code I used but as soon as it is I'll let you know what happens.

PC using Nokia updater. Went smooth. Using it for a couple hours now I guess. Seems to be running fine.
