N97 Three with Fring?

HI guys

I lost my N95 last week :(, and out of pocket £400 for it (well last year price). Anyway, my N95 8Gb was a vodafone one which I did unlock and the reprogram it to use the sip facilites, and went to Three network.

Anyway, as I use sip a lot, can somebody tell me 3 things. Is it possible to unlock a "three" N97 branded phone, and secondly does fring works wih N97 Three branded phone for sip function. I do not mind not to unlock the phone if fring will work!

My my voip provider is voipcheap

Thanks in advance

Cant say about N97 unlock but as far as i know Fring works with N97.. Truphone, Nimbuzz and Vopium are next that support N97 for VoIP services..

Hi I am on 3 Network with N97 and I can use as much as Skpe for free on Data network. You can even do it with PAYG Sim with no money on it. Never tried Voip clients but don't see why not. I use Skypeout and Unlimited World Subscription Credit to call. I also Debrand twice to get latest Firmware and goes back 3 Firmware Worked very well for me. I still have locked phone when I go abroad I can't use my N97 with PAYG local SIMs when the contract runs out they give me code to unlock.
