Annoying bugs - USB

Maybe this is meant to happen, if so it such an annoyance, I use roadsync to sync my corporate outlook, which I’m using over MfE as MfE forced me to use a device lock.

My problem is every time I plug in the USB cable to charge or transfer data, the phone looses its connection to the internal memory which causes my messaging settings to revert back to c: on the phone, then when I unplug the USB cable I have to manually set the location back, having to do this every time and its now becoming a pain.
Also every shortcut that I have organized seems to find its way back to the default application folder after I use the USB cable meaning I have to move them again if I want to stay organised.

Anyone else have these problems?

Are they fixed in new firmware which I am still waiting for here in the UK

I imagine your still running V10 being in UK. Maybe V11 will fix this.

While we are talking about USB bugs, I noticed I cannot charge my N97 using a proporta with the N97 Usb to MicroUSB lead, it just don't work, but using the Proporta supplied retractable lead, and short N97 adapter, it works.

I've got a car charger with adaptors for just about every variant of the mini USB plug and that won't work either, using the adaptor that comes with the N97 works though. Surely not a different charging pin from a standard USB plug the same shape as the one an N97 will take ? That's the only thing it can be I would have thought.

Yea... I have problem with the data cable charging... sometimes it just doesnt do anything after pluging. however, the adapter charger always works. I sometimes reboot my computer and my n97 then it will work most of the time... but see from the changelog that the new v11 firmware fixed this problem. unfortunately new firmware is still not available for my product code!!! come on NOKIA!!

Same thing on v11, though the applications don't seem to move back unless I use the mass storage option.

Thanks for the update on the update, useful to know for us underprivileged UK users.

I get the same issue - I've got my email accounts stored on mass memory, and as soon as I connect to the PC, the mailboxes can't be found. Usually I can just reset the settings to use mass memory for messaging & the emails come back, but sometimes I have to do a power cycle, then reset the settings.

Darned annoying.
