Home screen widgets messed up every time I restart the phone
I think I mentioned something along these lines very early on when I was having a mass of problems (though I still have quite a few). I thought it had been sorted out but I haven't had to restart the phone that often - only when the battery has run out and under advice from Vodafone due to a weak signal.
Anyway, every time I restart the phone the home screen widgets are only half functional - I don't just mean the live ones like AccuWeather and AP News - which simply don't update (for days if I don't kick them up the backside!) My favourite contacts widget also is only semi functional as it only shows the name and not the person's photo. The only way to get them to function 100% is to remove them from the home screen, reboot the phone and re-add them. |

odd.....
try a hard reset.... then reinstall the widgets but this time to mass memory rather than phone memory (micky has a post of all the widgets EXCEPT accuweather which isnt available to download) so if its a must have dont hard reset.......youll lose it.... this sounds voda fw issue as i dont have this prob on my vanilla. |

I also have a vanilla N97 but with a Vodafone SIM.
In the thread I referred to, I described how I had done three hard resets (on 22nd June - about two days after I got the phone)and I reformatted the Mass Storage card. All the applications I have are installed on the Mass Storage card apart from those which won't budge - like Boingo etc. |
