N97 (and others) compatible with open source symbian

Quote:
The first compatible Symbian devices are Nokia 97, Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530, Samsung i8910HD and the Sony Ericsson Satio
Disambiguating the brand Symbian Blog

I wonder if that means we'll be able to upgrade the entire OS :)

The N97 will be capable to run the new Symbian OS due to the backward compatibility. Its been stated in a few Official articles, the N97 will see the new OS.
