Custom (MIDI) ringtones on N97, howto?

Hi,

I'm playing around with my new N97 for two days now and I am slowly going mad with frustration on how to get some of my custom ringtones on my phone.
What I want to achieve is that when I edit a contact and select another ringtone, I want my folder to pop-up in the list or add my own tones to the default "Tones" directory.
I have placed the files (some midi, some mp3) on the 32gb phone memory, but these are not listed while selecting a ringtone. I can't find the "Tones" directory anywhere on the device.
The refresh routine searches for media files once I disconnect the USB cable, but it does not find my MIDI files. In addition to this, the ringtone selection uses a artis/album/title search mechanism, where I just want the simple directory structure... Aaargh..

Is there a way to make my phone use a custom directory for a ringtone depository? (on the big 32Gb space?)
Or what is the recommended way to add your own ringtones?

Thx

Luckily (for me) I use mp3 files, I just change the artists/album to read "Ringtone" and transfer them like any other music.

Mephisteus,
Yeah, figured that one.. Forces me to keep my ID3 tags extra tidy on my music collection.. 32gb of space..brr.. Well at least there is Godfather...

93tid,
Yes it does.
I figured out a way to change the main ringtone to a custom MIDI. Go into apps->Office->FileBrowser browse to the midi file, double tap to start media player. From there you can add it to a contact just like any other MP3.
