The official fix is to install a new antenna, with an additional shield
So that's not a design fault then???

Nokia = bunch of liars. Harsh? Not really, given the last statement they gave.

Some canine incentive at work here perhaps? Worried by WatchDog maybe? ;)

Yep, it's probably our suspicious minds Buxz... and Nokia were going to admit all along that they'd made two major foul-ups and been forced to alter the design to correct them... despite all their previous blustering denials!

Think about it carefully Robert... If as the report says that later models don't have these two problems, then it follows that the fix must have been worked-out a considerable time ago.

Why, you may ask yourself, have Nokia only just now announced that they're willing to apply this fix to the earlier, faulty models... And you say that you don't think it's because of the bad publicity so far and if WatchDog pursued it, the prospect of much worse to follow?

Sorry but I'm of the opinion that Nokia were hoping that many users wouldn't notice and that no big fuss would be made about it... I trust Nokia about as far as I could throw their CEO... Mind you, that goes for most other large organisations too! ;)
