Cannot replicate Nokia tune issue

Hmmm...yesterday when mine rang with the Nokia tune it was while I was using the thing in the gym listening to music. Altho it has done it before, I can say that the music player was in use this time. So maybe it can't play a custom tune while the music player is in use?

The N97 cannot use it as it's protected so it uses the default one instead.

Surely this is a permission issue and can easily be fixed.

No, it is not Mp3, it's one of the standard Nokia tones. Signum to be exact. I have now set Video call tone to the same one too, maybe that'll make a difference........

Music Player could be locking all the media including all of Nokia standard tones

Been fine all day today. As I said yesterday, I changed the video call ringtone to Signum too and it now rings that tone on normal calls.....

Ahhh..o well. I have no profiles with the Nokia tone..so today while my phone is plugged into the charger-unlocked-a contact calls (with a custom ringtone) and it rings with the stupid Nokia jingle..I'm done trying to figure that out..would be nice to be able to delete the tone file I guess

Ok, so today it's "business as usual" THAT GODAWFUL TUNE IS OFF AGAIN.

Nokia are doing this on purpose, I'm sure they are. They wanna see how much we can take. The only reason I have not thrown this phone through the Nokia flagship store window is because I fortunately did not have to pay for it as my phone company gave it to me. Now there's a thought, perhaps Telefonica de España are trying to break me............

I need a drink.

Well since the memory organiser update a couple of days ago, it seems that that awfull noise is no longer sounding as a ring tone. It's probably too soon to speak, but for the last couple of days all incoming calls have used my chosen tune. So maybe nokia sneeked in a fix without letting on.....

Time will tell.

I had a weird thing happen today...a contact calls which I have a ringtone associated with..so the stupid Nokia jingle starts in for about 3-4 seconds..then the ringtone kicks in..very strange. Incidentally I have run the organizer, for whatever that meand

Well since my last post on this subject, the phone went back to that awfull Nokia tune. But now since version 21 it is now fixed. At last!!

Mine still does it (intermittently use the Nokia tune) on V21
