Nokia N97 From China has no WIFI!!!!

I recenty bought One Nokia N97 from China. But it is really strange that I don't have wifi enabled on it. It is really frustrating. So can anyone tell me How can I enable WIFI on Nokia N97. ( It is original Nokia N97, not any clone)

Please post here the information that comes up on the screen after you enter *#0000# and also post the product code of your handset, which is located on a white sticker under the battery in the format 05xxxxx.

Pretty sure most Chinese handsets have the WiFi disabled or no WiFi chip at all.

I know, that's why I want to be sure it's a RM-506 and on a Chinese product code before giving the bad news to owned.

I was unknown that China officially disabled WIFI on any cell phone. So I don't think my N97 is having WIFI chip. So what I can do in this case ?

bit off topic and kind of on it anyone got a short explanation why wifi isnt allowed over there is it for security reasons or something what about gps

i saw a video of a chinese engineer disabling the wifi from a lot of N85. This involved burning the wifi chip with some tool. LoL
