    Comments on news feeds

Noticed theres a few comments on the news stories. I think it would be a good idea to link it to the forum instead.

Perhaps each news story can generate it's own thread, so from the main story page theres a link to that thread. Thus people get sent to the forum, which will lead to much greater discussion on it, and it can work the other way around.

People see these auto generated threads, get hooked by the title, and follow the link in the thread to the news home page (which not many people seem to read - I suspect they come striaght to the forum).

It's on a few forums I know of, so there must be something ready to impliment.

Very good idea, I have Firefox running in multiple tabs both on laptop (i.e. at home and when travelling) and in the office and I am straight in the forum each time I open my browser.

Heck, I even miss PMs since I go straight to the bottom section with the new posts.

I will take a look Bart, thanks for the suggestion. I agree it would really help with discussion, and I know Symbian Guru had something similar.

Pushing them into the forum would require registration, which is the only downside I think. Im not sure how I feel about allowing guest posting, however maybe we could limit it to just the news threads/sections. Micky, what do you think of the idea?

Superb idea, and something i had been meaning to ask Brandon for a while, just never got round to it. If you could set up something similar to what Ricky has done with Symbian-Guru, then that would be great, and of course, would generate more forum activity too.

Even though I get email notifications of new comments left for articles I have published, , it really would help having a thread auto opened, and titled the same as the article itself.

Nothing will be deleted. When (if) you reactivate it everything will still be there.
Deactivating your account is like taking a vacation from face book. All your in-box messages, wall posts, friends, and news feed info will still be there as you left it....
What are you on about?! Nobody here is talking about Facebook! This is a thread about the news feed on the Nokiausers homepage!
Press the Thanks button...it's not going to hurt you....although I suppose you could pull a muscle in your finger while doing it so be careful!!!
