maybe
I think the best place for Maemo/internet tablet discussion is maemo.org - Talk

Nokia Oracle
InternetTabletTalk is also a great resource. That being said- I'm not against having a small section here so that our community can discuss it. There's certainly a bit more interest in the Nokia Internet Tablet product line now that the next iteration will include phone capabilities. :-)

A few guys were asking me at Nokia World, and on Twitter if we will be providing a Maemo section too. I guess a small Maemo sub-forum would be fine. Over to you Brandon

i would suspect this is going to be a major device not unlike the n95. i know my appreciation for it is increasing.

The N900 is not aimed as a Mass market device, so this has to be understood. From my understanding from the interview I had with Ari Jaaksi, Vice President of Maemo devices, the N900 is kind of an experiment product, and they are releasing it to select markets to see how it fairs. Then based on this result will determine its future.

I think it would be nice with a maemo section where the N900 and the next
maemo devices could be in.

Yeah I notice that acording to Peter Schneider,
Head of Marketing, Maemo Devices the interest look to be high over the N900, with over 50 million hits within the first 24 hour .

Fair enough, but I am suprised they are not doing it with a lower budget device like the 5800. I understand that it's meant as a tablet, but it's still a high priced handset.
Will make interesting reading on how well it does. Or perhaps the feedback, since sales figures will not reveal much since no-one knows what it's like.
I do not give instructions on how to bypass satnav copy protection. So please do not ask via forum or PM.
Pay for you're software, this helps makers produce updates and support the product.

Maemo section with N900 "Rover" subsection
If the N900's a Rover - can't wait till the "Lotus" gets released.

Canterbury Do you know something ..-
Lotus returns to 2010 Formula One
Lotus competed in the F1 series in 1958-94, and won 79 Grand Prix races.
Lotus champion, have driven Jim Clark twice, Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi and Mario Andretti.
Mika Häkkinen started his F1 career with Lotus in the garage and competed in 1991-92.
Also Mika Salo drove a Lotus F1 at the early stages.
Lotus team was in the 1970s, very popular in Sweden when Ronnie Peterson ran a Black Lotus.
During the years 1958-1994 Lotus took a total of 79 F1 victories, Peterson accounted for nine of them.
Peterson was killed after an accident at Monza in September 1978,
and Ronnie Petersson was my classmate cousin and I get the chance
meet him and test sit in his Lotus at that time ( I was only about 12 year)
He was one awsome man.
Sorry I get off topic , but it have start big ruomors some week ago that
Nokia maybee go in as a sponsor to F1 again (first ruomors was of Renault)
or now maybee the N900 Lotus

haha - thanks for the history lesson. with "Rover" as the code name for the N900, i was thinking of cars, and the obvious British upgrade was the Lotus (not being an Aston Martin fan). though upgrade is an insult to Lotus.
