Looks a lot nicer than then soon(?) to be released N8. Not sure I need a qwerty but then again a usable werty could be a different story!

Wonder when we will see this ... more to the point, when it will be available to buy - 2011 2nd quarter? lol

Still don't understand Nokia's Strategy.... N8 is not even out yet & N9 is already a rumor.

I'm still trying to understand their marketing strategy which to my concerns is not the best out there.

Still have faith things will change soon.

Thats what Im concerned about too, surely the leak of the N9 will hamper N8 sales greatly. Although, having said that, there are people than simply prefer a touch only handset, whilst others, myself included prefer an hardware QWERTY.

I'm just fine with touch only, but QWERTY keyboards are what I really like, and that N9 design is extremely pleasing for me. I'm now probably not going to get the N8 having seen the N9.

Unless I am mistaken, that doesn't look like a xenon flash on the leaked N9. I wonder what other trade-off's there are between this and the N8?

I thought this too. The 8mp camera I could probably cope with but the lack of xenon and the inevitably long announcement to release time would likely put me off and swing me in favour of the N8.

I am not sure I need a full qwerty but a well implemented one would be nice to have as an option providing it doesn't bulk up the device too much.

It should have been pretty much exactly the N8 but with keyboard. Don't know whether that would work though as I would go for the keyboard one. They need to differentiate the two as if they were too similar then it would be pointless.

But then again they are making people choose.

And meego vs symbian too hopefully. I'd much rather the N8 camera but would sacrifice that for a decent 8 megapixel one for meego over symbian.

Nice see the N9 but I still prefer the N8

I have to admit the form factor of the N97 was truly excellent. The keyboard on it was a joy to use. I'd like a top specced touch device with a hardware keyboard as well. The N900's is OK but not as good as the N97.

I'd give Symbian another bash. Remember it was great on non touch deivices it's just they didn't release a proper version for touch. I'm hoping S3 is it.

...and with one sentence you changed my mind about not getting the N8... This isn't HTC with a 1-2month lead time, this is Nokia, I'd be better off getting an N8 and then thinking about getting an N9 when it comes later.

very true, i hadnt thought of it that way.

Chances are by the time the N8 is released a load more higher spec Android devices should be just about out too
