customizing the forum

is there any way of reducing the size of each post in the forum? each person's information takes up more space than the posts. secondly, can u change the usercp so that all subscriptions are shown immediately rather than having to click on 'view all subscriptions'. and just to have a moan...why can't we search for words less than 4 letters long?!? grrrrrrr. i've never known that in a forum before. thanks in advance

I am not sure about the others, but if you want to search for less than 3 characters, you can use wildcard *.

i can see the benefits of that completely but i'm just suprised there's not the option of having a minimal view for those who don't need the information...

i agree it needs cutting down especially when we are trying to read posts via rss it takes too long with all peoples details and signatures etc taking up all the space on a mobile phone screen.

Yeah 3 letters seems easy. Problem is english, with worlds like AND and THE being joining words, we want to ignore them from search queries.

they've now introduced a google search which eliminates the 4 letter cap :D

Thanks for noticing! The google search should be much better at finding what you are looking for, and shouldn't be as annoying as the vbulletin one (4 letter cap, etc).
