How to get a Dev Cert(17) - Works in all Firmwares S60 v3 & v5 - Guides & Walkthrough

To keep things very simple and very sweet all updated and latest hacking information shall be updated in this thread. Before you can hack you need a developers certificate and a key file.

Get these by going to the website below, and follow the on screen prompts.

When checking back in 24 hours time, go to this website:

Ignore all the text, just enter your IMEI again and the verification code.



If you're Dev Cert has been successful you'll see this screen:



Click on the top left hyperlink, this contains a .rar file and will be numbered. This includes both your Developers Certification & Key File.



Once you've downloaded these two files, you now need to download a program to "Sign" your applications/ Or the HelloOX file for hacking.

There are many programs you can use to sign your applications/files both on the PC and sign on the phone. A couple are:

SignSIS

GenialSiS - Recommended.

&

SignSIS-GUI v1.1


You're ready to go and sign the applications you want and install them.

For those wanting to hack their phone so you don't sign individual apps, follow the below:


The latest and by far the easiest method to hack any S60v3 & S60v5 (touch) devices which covers all known firmwares is to download HellOSX.


You'll need to sign this application with you 17 Capability Developers Certificate and Key File. Just install it, and run it from Applications it does everything else automatically for you.

N.B - Having Problems once "signed" and trying to install?

* Once installed if your applications still wont install go to Rompatcher in your applications. On Installserver_FP2 - Click Options - Patch - Apply & Do the same for "Open4All"

* Ensure within App Manager that "Software Installation is set to "All" and Online Cert Check is set to "Off"

* Try resigning with a different password, both 0000 & 123456 should work.




All these methods were correct at the time of posting, any dead links or additional information which you think might help please post below.

I received my 17 cap Dev Cert for another phone in less than 5 hours today.!

OK, after I enter my IMEI and verification code i got the message "You have successfully submitted the application which will be completed... bla bla...". And every time I visit the page and enter IMEI and the code I get the same result! I've been trying for 5 days. What am I doing wrong?
