Wireless Sniffer?

Hey guys,
Is there any wireless sniffer that can run in symbian?
I found Mognet, a java wireless sniffer tool ( #define node99(x) usleep(x) ). You can get the .jar , source and lib files in one package, but, I'm new in N95 and I really don't know if I can run a jar with "custom" libs.
Another question: Does the N95 wireless adapter supports Monitor mode?

Thank's alot and sorry for my bad english =P
Best Regards,
Pato.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? There's a wireless scanner built into the N95 to find hotspots. There's also applications available like DeviceScape that will save credentials for logging into paid services, such as TheCloud.

Or are you actually trying to capture packets to decode and discover their contents?

It's Broke?

Did you know that your Nokia comes with a 2 year warranty? Did you know that Carphone Warehouse are Nokia Repair Centres?
Damage from normal use: wobbly slider, broken keys, quiet earpiece etc... will be repaired for free, and usually the same day if you take it to a big store!

Yes, I want to capture WEP \ WPA packets to, with tools like aircrack in any pc, get the password and read the packets with airdecap.
Don't know if it's possible...

Pato

I'm sorry we don't discuss hacking tools on this forum.

Also I would very much doubt the wireless chip in the N95 would support monitor mode. And even if it did, the application would have to know how to activate it, which probably would require a special driver, which probably does not exist. Unfortunately I don't think you can do what you want to do!

Ok Genius, where are you getting all this information and beta N95 firmware? I am guessing that you are a Nokia employee.

Yeah, sorry if it sounded a little angered or sarcastic wasn't meant like that I am genuinely interested as my laptop does not support the monitoring function so if my phone does I would love it. Also I know the new firmware was released to Nokia employees ages ago so is that what the beta is about?

No worries.

I'm on v20 dude, and I've had my fair share of N95 software woes, believe me - I'm no Nokia employee!

I work in the diverse world of IT (not that it narrows it down by any means) but just to say that network security is fairly high on my agenda. Apologies, but I'm a bit opposed to anyone that wants to sniff packets, wireless or otherwise - I really cant see an inocent justification for such technology. Just makes my life harder at the end of the day.
