Music Player (hiding files)

Hi,

I have a N95 8Gb and want to know whether there is a way to limit what files that the in-built Music Player application picks up.

I would like to limit it to a specific directory tree so that it doesn't add all my 'stupid ringtones' etc, to the music library.

Also (almost the converse of above), it is possible to exclude 'music files' (again by path) from the ringtones selection. If you have a lot of music on the phone it takes ages to scroll through the ringtone selection for ringtones due to the 100's of music files in the list.

Cheers Ian

Sorry about not searching 1st......I actually did but (stupidly) didn't fill in the anti-spam query correctly so (wrongly) assumed the search had come back empty :-0

Regarding the issue, it seems to be "somewhat of a limitation" that you can't limit the search scope for music & picture files in any other way?

I've now got a "couple of thousand" .bmp files that I can't read that have appeared in my Gallery that I've traced down to the C:\Data\Juice\Temp folder, I'm just going to search the forums to see if anyone else has seen this ;-).

Thanks for you help previously.

Set the attributes of the 'C:\Data\Juice\Temp folder' to 'hidden'. ;)
