    N95 8gb problem

Well it is not a big problem, but still.
Today i’ve installed the new firmware 30.0.018, and everything passed ok. But after turning off the phone, and than switching it on..it seems to be some..after nokia animation it shows the normal screen and after few seconds it goes blank (only background is shown) for about few seconds, than all is ok. Seems like it wants to start installation, but doesn’t show the progress bar. I think it could be cause of some theme file i was installing and it broke in the middle. But after that i reinstalled the firmware 3times and formatted the mass memory 3 times. So dunno what it is? Is there any way to browse installation files, even those that were broken and not installed??
Does anyone have a problem like this, or it is normal thing? Is this firmware slower? Dunno, but before it i was using a 20.0.016 and everything was ok. It’s not a big thing, but it is kinda irritating.
    Thx in advance

    * Firstly, connect your phone to a PC via USB.
    * Choose Data Transfer (a.k.a. Mass Storage). Do not select PC Suite because you won’t be able to browse protected folders in PC Suite mode.
    * Open Windows Explorer on your PC.
    * Go to \private\10202dce on the phone’s folder.
    * There, you should be able to find the installer files (.sis). Just remove them using Windows Explorer

Thx a lot, but i'm browsing that "private" directory and don't see a sub dir named "10202dce"??

check if you have Welcome, Welcome Demo, SettingWizard, and/or SettingWizard2 and uninstall them. see if it works. Settings Wizard can be downloaded and installed should you need it

oops. i didn't read the problem clearly. yes, this is normal. has been that way since the earlier firmwares, perhaps you didn't notice. even then, it doesn't affect the phone's operation.

    no probs.

its just the operating system initializing system services upon startup. think of it as windows loading while having lots of startup programs =D
