Smile V 30 for N95 8Gb - WLAN Faster?

Still not sure if this upgrade is applicable to my phone or even if it's worth it.
V20.0.016
RM320
60.01
Prod Code 0557735
The Nokia site suggests that the only upgrade is the one I already have.
I read on another post that the WLAN is faster. Is that the case?
Thanks

V.30 is available for your phone model, but not for the product code you have. You can upgrade if you debrand.

I haven't noticed any difference in WLAN speed, in my opinion it's all up to the router and the traffic on the site you are accessing.

Thanks. All seems to work fine anyway so I might as well wait until another one comes around.

No, V.30 is not released yet for N95-4, the latest available for you is V.20.

FW v.30.0.018 for RM-320 (n95-8g) is preferrable to older versions of course. If you want to hack your phone and gain numerous free apps for your phone, it is advisable to do it after promoting to last (and hackable) software.

you have to check with nokia software updater if there's a new firmware available for your phone.

I just want to inform you, that some users on SF (including me) report problem with wifi WPA2 authentification after upgrade to na 31.0.015 (currently latest for n95-2). if the WPA key is longer, than 8 characters, phone become unstable. restarts or hangups. I am on n95-2 8GB 31.0.015 debranded. but not everyone. is it anybody in here with the same problems?
