Is it safe to use AC-5X charger with N1208?

I recently purchased a Nokia 1208 - I know its a big letdown after N95 but serves the purpose of making and receiving calls as a second phone. It came with charger AC-3X which has the same size pin as AC-5X (which came with N95). I need to travel out for a few days and was wondering if I can carry only one charger for both my phones.

AC-3X has current rating of 350 mA while AC-5X has rating of 800mA, I know I will need 5X for my N95 but is it safe to use it on 1208 too? Specifications on Nokia's website do not list AC-5X to be compatible with N1208.

    TIA.

maybe you shouldn't if it's not listed as compatible. just bring both chargers.

psarna I wouldn't. Usually the charger wouldn't matter but being the huge difference in current rating might cause a problem. Now it usually won't draw more current then it needs but if there's a hiccup anywhere in anything related to the charging circuit the higher rated charger could fry some things. Like deyene said I would definitely recomend bringing both
I cannot confirm nor deny anything I say or type to be truthful in any way.

I agree with gazzer taking 2 chargers aint gonna take up that much space in your case
and since i've fried 2 phones using the wrong chargers i always take the right chargers.
