I had VOIP operating on my C7 not long after I bought it last year when running Symbian S60 V5 but lost it when I upgraded to Symbian Anna. I am now trying to get it back on Symbian Belle.

After installing SIP_VoIP_3_1_Settings_Symbian _3_v1_0-en.sis and reading many threads I managed to get the VOIP tab appearing in contacts, but when I tried to sign in, it 'hung' for ages with the message 'connecting' before failing.

Today I edited the SIP Profile based on some information in a thread on the Whirlpool Forum in Australia who also uses Pennytel VOIP. The phone now registers whne I sign in!! However, when I try making a call when connected to my home wifi I get a gentle pulsing tone for 2-3 sec and a message 'network error'.

The SIP Settings are:
Profile Name: pennytel.com
Service PRofile: IETF
Default Destination: Internet
Public Username: sip:<PennytelAccountNo>@sip.pennytel.com
User compression: No
Registration: When needed
User security: No
Proxy server address: sip:sip.pennytel.com
Realm: sip.pennytel.com
Username: <AccountNo>
Password: <pennytelpassword>
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport type: Automatic
Port: 5060

Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be the next move to get VOIP working?
