Tomtom phone

So, hows this for a rumour: Pocket GPS World

Basically theres rumblings of tomtom bringing out their own phone, or perhaps with it preinstalled on certain phones, for example the HTC touch.

This would make sense (in TTs eyes) for a number of reasons.

First, support, as it would only bet on set devices rather than many different phones and PDAs.

Second, piracy. Presumably there would be better measures locking it to that device.

Third, easier development. Even with the same OS, differences in hardware can make things more difficult.

I cant say I blame tomtom, and as much as I like their software, Id rather stick with something I feel is inferiour than have tomtom choose my phone for me.

I do point out however at this point its just rumours.
