The Handy Weather one, i had it as my power saver on my N82 and it showed the present days weather and the day after.
But the 5800 doesn't have one does it so i'll miss that as i had it set to update the waether just before my alarm went off in the morning and all i had to do was look at the phone, didn't need to open Handy Weather at all.

I've got Handy Weather on trial working perfectly fine on my 5800.

Would I be able to change city once I buy the full licence ?

I've seen your post and I have mine set to London but when I go to Change City in the settings my only option is London. I can't select anything else and I travel abroad a lot (virtually every week) so that is quite important for me.

    Is Handy Weather compatible?

Yeah- as stated in the OP, first compatible app listed in fact.

All Epocware applications (Handy Clock, Handy Shell, Handy Weather, etc...)
If you're looking for a good weather app for the 5800, Accuweather.com widget can't be beat IMO- and it's free. Really great looking app, just about the best looking thing you can put on the screen of your 5800.

Find it in the widget section of Applications in 'Download!'

Despite my user name being N95, I now own a 5800XM on Tmobile.

I have just downloaded the Live Messenger software form the link on the first page, it has installed ok (I think!) yet when I go to sign in, it says 'can not allow login.'

I access the net on the phone through Wi-fi, which works 100% fine on every other app' i have on the phone, but not this. I am on v20 firmware.

Any ideas or help much appreciated. Cheers.

Its because Microsoft plugged the hole. The program was only designed for China users and hence if you aren't in China the program doesn't work. I get the same thing.
I've read before that changing your Hotmail settings to China might work but can't confirm because I really don't want to lol.

Did a few searches. But as the program name is "Free Tones" it yields a lot of junk search results in Google. Also on here, the search picks up the text in "Phone" on users' profiles, so it again yields a lot of 5800 related Tone threads. So, sorry if it's already been talked about...

The question:..... Does FreeTones work on the 5800?
    Also, Flipsilent?

The 5800 FW v.21 already incorporates an effective 'Flip-Silent' option, doesn't it?

    Settings/Phone/Sensor settings/Tuning control/Silencing calls (On/Off)

Or is there more to Flip-Silent than this?

Flip Slient boasts the following :

    Major Fetures:
1, Flipover the phone to hangup or mute an incoming call!
2, Flipover to snooze or stop the alarm
3, More power save, Stop the sensor ASAP!
4, Full control of switching profiles, both flip over and flip back!
5, Auto Start with phone boots!
I find the build in Nokia method good enough.

Mainly use it for snoozing the alarm. It's genius.

Saves me squinting me eyes in the morning and inevitibly turning the Alarm off by mistake!

Yes, I ran the trial and Viewranger is really good. It's on my birthday list.

The only downside is that the screen is difficult to read in bright sunlight.

    There is the "eyecall" app

eyeCall is an amazing mobile phone call control application. eyeCall enables the user to silent an incoming call, by a simple hand motion, without touching the mobile device or keypad. In addition, eyeCall offers to send a predefined text message by simply covering the phone with the hand.

All Epocware applications (Handy Clock, Handy Shell, Handy Weather, etc...)

    JoikuSpot
    - 5800 version
    Skype: Java (so-so)
    Worldmate: - 5800 version
    IM+: - 5800 version
Geotagging: - s60v3 (okay but does not autostart)
Gizmo5: - s60v3 (java based but seems to work)
SMSChat: - 5800 version (beta but works okay)
    Dr. Jukka: - 5800 version (updated for S60 5th on Jan 18th)
FriendView: s60v3 (works but behaves strangely)

    Gypsii (comes in Downloads)
Opera Mini (seems to work sort of)
Audible Player (Java and works ok)
    Google Maps - 5800 (EXCELLENT)
Quick Office (DOWNLOADS Bandits, but the stuff works)
Qik Capture (works but I do not use it)
    Gmail (works as advertised)
Handwriting Cal (works but does anyone really care)
Adobe Reader (purchased a license and it works)
LCG Jukebox (works but is not developed for the touch screen)
PhoNetInfo (works for the most part)
Handy Taskman (I am using the s60v3 version and it works but....)
    Sudoku Master - 5800 version

    Update 10/1/09

Mobbler for Last.FM (Updated twice since the release of the 5800. They're on top of it, for sure.)
Guardian (Works brilliantly, fantastic app if you're worried about having your hot new Nokia stolen, or if you lose things.)
Profimail (works, but LCG really needs to update for touch. Get ready to pull out your stylus...
TextQuick (works great already, and the developer is planning on updating the interface for touch. I DEFINITELY recommend this app, especially if you only text a few people but have hundreds of contacts like myself.)
HandyShell (Mentioned above as "All Epocware"- but I want to specially note this one. I didn't care for it at all on S60v3 devices, but it absolutely makes sense on the 5800. The active standby screen is an incredible waste of real estate. If it's not on your 5800, grab the trial *RIGHT NOW*.)

    UPDATE 26/01/2009

MSN WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER(5th edition version-good)

    RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

    UPDATE 18/1/2009

    DrJukka Apps-

    Fake Messages v0.55
    Theme Scheduler v0.55
    Profile Scheduler v0.55

YBrowser is working for me- though the dev says he's working this week to update that as well. Dr Jukka's apps are unsigned.

    Please add to the list!
Yes, Handy Shell, Calender, Alarm n Reminder are all very useful n are actually very Handy!
this for letting us know about this.

jst got my hands on 2 great apps..

    1. Best FS Msg
displays your receiving sms in full screen.. replacing the homescreen.. you can reply your messages directly from there. although it says its fro s60v3, it works on 5800.

Best Full Screen Message for S60 3rd edition

    2. Best CallRecorder
records all your incoming/outgoing calls. i have set it to record automatically without asking for every call.. very useful.

I played Sensible Sudoku yesterday and it's really better than Sudoku Master. What is increadible is that is was made for Symbian S60 3rd edition, and, as you can see here on this Sensible Sudoku Review it was designed for non-touch devices.

joikuspot changes your phone into a wireless router uising your 3g data package. multiple devices can connect and use your phone's data package at 1 time, exactly like a wireless router.

a mobile connected via BT is similar, except at 1 time, only 1 device can be connected to the internet.

Why bother with emulator if you can have REAL Windows 7 under touchscreen of your Nokia 5800 phone?
BTW, if one Windows 7 is not enough, you may run FIVE other Operating Systems as well: XP, Vista, W2000, W2003 and W2008.

SymRDP - Remote Desktop Access from S60 5th phone to computer.
