Convert DVD movies to portable format

Hi, Does anyone know of any good software that can rip DVD movies into the portable format suitable for N95? Maybe to AVI or Real format.

Although it won't do it from DVD, it will do it from almost any video source, try PSPVideo9.

Its meant to be for doing it to PSPs but it does a fantastic job for Nokias as well.
Profile I used was "SP/320x240/29.97fps/768kbps Stereo/128kbps"

If your on linux all you need is "mencoder" (part of the mplayer package)

If your on windows, The free program "Virtual Dub" will more than satisfy your re-encoding needs :).


These are general purpose re-encoding programs. They take your full quality DVD and turn it into whatever size/codec you wish. So, unlike the above "DVD to Nokia" program which will only take 1 format and turn it into 1 format, this can do anything.

From the official website, N95 supports such format: MP4, RMVB, AVI,.
So you can convert DVD to MP4, AVI with some kinds of DVD Converters or DVD Rippers such as Pavtube DVD Ripper, Moyea DVD Ripper.
