HELP MSN Live

Ok.. So i'va managed to get MSN Live onto my N95,
I get to the page where i enter my Email addy and password, which obviously i do.
Then i get a window come up asking which access point (i think) i want to use.
I always choose Contract WAP, but when i choose this, i can sometimes be connecing for like 3 or 4 mins :( and after that, it just says there was either difficulty or problem with signing in and that i should try later :(

i've tried later, a lot. and still get notling :(
Can anyone help me?

What other access point options do you have in the list? Do you have a wireless access point you can try it with to see if you get the same result?

That way, at least you can identify whether the problem lies with your setup or your MSN Live account.

Note: not sure this is in the right section (Software Hacks) - perhaps a mod will move appropriately for you...

Even when I connect by w-lan it can take upto 2 minutes to get online, but atleast I get online. Maybe it has to do with the presets you've chosen using msn live on your pc? Like the option "use my photo wherever I log on" kind of preset. And then it becomes too much for the phone or the choice of connection before you're timed out? Just a thought...

it depends if your network has blocked the msn port. ask if your internet provider has blocked port 1863. wap connections has limits on ports.

i have a list of about 10 different things to choose from, but i've always used contract WAP, i don't have any other way of connecting it to the net at the moment :s (well, from the phone)

maybe i'll set up a new account and see what happens, could be my acc settings i guess. i'll try some more ways to get round it! :D

and also, would i need to ring Vodafone to fond out if my provider had blocked that port dayene?

the thing with my provider is with t-zones (wap sites only) you can only go to unsecured sites and can't use it with IM (except ebuddy and eqo) but with total internet you can use it on anything without limitations.
