Heh I love the fact that on the screenshots the workout activity is 'driving' :) The name of this app made me think it was something that aggregated the baseball scores or something!

Mmm and the ability to export the route to a KML file means this utility could also have a business use - 'sales rep tracker'!

I installed this app and took it on a little route but instead of seeing my progress on a map it is just a black background. Help please...

I don't think you can display a map background within the Sports Tracker. I used it to track my journey home in the car and then loaded it into Google Earth and it's fantastic. What a great little application.

I installed Nokia Sports Tracker (On N95)but no success using it...some of the problems

1- The GPS always shows as Check Marked even if i m not in an open area (when Nokia Maps would show no GPS lock)

2- I start the Driving activity but none of the meters move except the time (yes..i am moving at 60 KM/hr)

all other indicators remains at Zero...

Any help ?

Update- It worked...I used the GPS locking by Maps first and then Sports Tracker..

The only thing I miss with Sports Tracker is an option to merge several "workouts". The other day I went for a 40 km cycle ride, and was of course interrupted by a few calls and messages, which forced me to stop the workout, exit the application, and the start a new workout after I finished the call.
There was no option to "continue workout" or "join workouts" as far as I could tell.

I've noticed the GPS icon is always ticked but when you have a lock on, the image turns green. When you don't have a lock it goes orange / amber but remains ticked.

I've installed this app but just wondering.. do you need to use any data to be able to use it?! or is it solely dependant on GPS signal?!

I don't think there is a feature to display the route progress (in realtime) on the map yet.. but what you can do is to export it to google earth after the exercise. It will be save as a .kml file in your phone/memory card...after which, you can tranfer it to your PC and then open the file using Google Earth. The route would then be displayed in Google Earth.

...if you just want to see your route progress on the map, the maps software in your N95 should be sufficient.
