Just been reading about HAVA over on SG ..

HAVA for S60 Announced, Completes The Nokia Circle

Monsoon Multimedia, creators of the HAVA, have finally come forward and officially announced that they will be supporting the S60 platform with a dedicated HAVA Mobile Player client, which should be available next quarter. The HAVA box is similar to a Slingbox, but with a few differences, such as the ability for more than one mobile client to control the box.

"HAVA differs from Sling by adding 802.11a/g wireless networking to the mix of transmitting video from a home source (cable, MCE PC, etc.) to your laptop across your home or across the Internet. HAVA also adds the ability to stream to more than one PC. "

HAVA gives you the freedom to watch home TV whenever and wherever you want:

* Personalize your TV viewing experience
* Enjoy your Microsoft Media Center TV experience in any room in the house without requiring a TV connection in those rooms
* Watch TV on multiple PCs, in multiple rooms, simultaneously
* Wirelessly watch TV on your deck or in the workshop
* Users can watch TV in the home and from the airport at the same time
* Turn Windows Vista or Windows XP PCs into PVRs. Pause, fast forward, rewind, record TV onto your PC’s hard disk or burn TV programs onto DVDs for later viewing
* No monthly subscription fees

FYI- like SlingPlayer, you need hardware for this as well. Boxes start at around 100 USD for the basic rig. The S60 client has just reached beta, so it's not widely available. They also have a Maemo client in beta testing as well right now- which is why the HAVA player is more interesting to me right now.

I think I'll snatch one up later this week and give it a go.

@ajayE92- will work with Comcast and your DVR, yes.

@NBN95
- Kind of right, yes- you can stream to your PC from the Skybox- you can also stream from your Skybox to your phone (or Tablet), it's done from hardware attached to your TV, not your PC. You don't send it to your PC first- there's no syncing in the sense that you're not downloading the video from the HAVA player to your phone, you're just playing the live stream that is coming from your skybox.
