IM+ or Fring
so, I attempted to try both of these apps yesterday. Sadly I'm still waiting for T-Mobile to upgrade my web'n'walk plan and remove the port blocks.
In the meantime I thought I'd try them out on wifi. Fring worked and was ok (I don't make internet calls or skype etc) so might be more than I actually need IM+ simply wouldn't connect via wifi so I can't even try it. so, I thought I was ask peoples opinions of each app on here. what is the most common on with the folks on here? thanks |

i've been using IM+ and i like it because of its search function when you have a lot of contacts and running a lot of accounts. i'm not sure if i tried connecting with wifi but it should work..will try it later. when you get your web n walk try out IM+ for 7 days i think for the trial.

I use fring all the time. I've not tried the IM+ though.
I personally like the way fring automatically uses any of the available WIFI points wherever I am, then uses GPRS when I'm out of range. I just leave it on all the time and let it manage the connection itself and it always chooses WIFI if available.
